Focal Lenses Right for Streets
Who are the people who do not like to walk? Moreover, if a photographer would surely love it when traveling with a photograph taken. Well talking about taking pictures, we might still wonder the same type of lens that is appropriate for the roads taken. It's a lot to take pictures when traveling kind, could photograph the landscape, buildings, human interest and even telephoto. For it is certainly a suitable lens zoom lens that can accommodate the needs of wideangle to telephoto photography at medium range. Lens with a focal range of this kind is called "walk around lens' or a lens for a walk.
Many options for wideangle focal lens, but quite useful focal lens is a 28mm for wide position. A growing number of cameras that give more focal than 28mm wide, 24mm eg. Change 'bit' of 28mm to 24mm make a big difference in viewpoint and perspective drawings are produced, so the 24mm lens is more useful when we do not have much room to shoot. For DSLR cameras with APS-C sensor, because there is a correction factor that is crop-factor, the lens is the 28mm equivalent focal lens of 18mm.
Travel photography tends to put practicality so that sometimes we just want to carry just one lens for all needs. For the zoom lens with a focal starting from wideangle (28mm or even 24mm) and telephoto ends at a certain value (eg 100mm, 200mm, etc.) is considered as an ideal lens, regardless of the design variable (not constant). It is now many compact cameras that can reach 24-120mm focal range, or even a superzoom cameras have a lens with a focal impressive 24-840mm (35x zoom), which certainly versatile for shooting close up very much though.
On a DSLR camera, no lens that can accommodate very long focal range as the superzoom cameras. This is because the design of more specific DSLR lenses as required for example wideangle (10-30mm), standard zoom (18-55mm) or telephoto (70-300mm). There are several superzoom lens for DSLR like the 18-200mm or 18-270mm. Focal lens like this is perfect for a walk, because it would the equivalent of 28-300mm on a film camera. But if you want one that can accommodate the focal lens of 24mm, the lens is not much choice. For my recommendation is Nikon DX AF-S 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 VR DX which has excellent optical quality, with 24-130mm equivalent focal on a film camera (Nikon FX if your users, there is also a lens such as AF- S 24-120mm f / 4 VR that does not have a crop factor). For any lens Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM is just as good, that it would be equivalent to a focal 24-135mm on a film camera (if your users a full frame Canon, there is also a lens like the EF 24-105mm f / 4 L IS which does not have a crop factor). But if you do not chase the focal 24mm wide, then the choice of cheap kit lens like the 18-105mm or 18-135mm is also suitable for street wear.
